Mini RC drones are ideal for beginners to gain first flight experiences. The costs of smaller quadrocopters are significantly lower and they are very resistant. Compared to their bigger brothers, they can take a lot of crashes. The prospective drone pilot can therefore fly much riskier manoeuvres and gets a good feeling for flying faster.

Since many blog visitors of our site Drohne-check.de are looking for drones for beginners, we regularly look for new mini drones. We came across the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter. To be honest, we have never heard of the manufacturer Hasakee, so we were a bit sceptical. Obviously the company has already developed several quadrocopters and RC models, which also sell well. So there are no amateurs at work here.

Children can also use the Mini RC Helicopter, the rotors are protected, made of soft material and do not pose a great risk of injury. What the little one can do, where you can fly with it and what you should pay attention to, we will tell you in this article.

Technical data of the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter

Interesting for you, could be the integrated 0,3 MP Wifi camera. With this camera it is possible to make great FPV flights. The remote control also has a holder to fix the Smartphone on it. But you shouldn’t expect too much from the recordings. It is not self-evident that this small aircraft has a camera at all. There are many mini drones, especially in this price segment, which have no photo sensor.

The dimensions are about 9 cm in width, 8.5 cm in length and 3 cm in height. Which is a perfectly normal size for mini and toy drones. This also applies to the weight of the drone, which is about 30 g. Of course this is also reflected in the flight characteristics.

When you start the little Mini Hasakee for the first time, you have to get a feeling for it, because it reacts quite fast and abruptly to control commands, if you have set the professional mode. This is what makes it so agile and agile. So as soon as you have a little bit of sensitivity in steering, you can comfortably whizz around the house with the mini-drone.

Photo and video data are stored on a 4 GB SD card, which is also included in the delivery. Here you can see two example pictures of the camera of the quadrocopter:

At the beginning we recommend the beginner mode. In this mode the control signals are slightly damped by a buffer and controlling is much easier. Of course you still have to rethink, if the mini drone is facing you, because then a left movement on the remote control is a right movement of the drone.

If you don’t think you can do that, you can fly in headless mode for a while. The orientation of the drone does not matter at all and it always moves according to your control movements. But if you want to fly with larger quadrocopter models later on, we definitely recommend learning to fly using the conventional flight mode.

An automated hover flight is no problem thanks to the 6-axis gyroscope. This means that the drone automatically maintains its position as soon as the control sticks are released. The stunts are really cool. Using the remote control, you can let the mini drone perform a somersault or flip, after which it will hover again by itself.

But if you only have 1 battery, the flying fun is over after about 7 minutes. To fully charge it, you need about 30-50 minutes. We therefore recommend that you buy several flight batteries, so you can extend the flight fun with some stopovers.

Compared to other drones in this price range, the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter has a slightly above average transmission and reception range of up to 50 meters. In practice, however, the transmission power is often exhausted after 30 meters. This is mainly due to the charge level of the batteries in the transmitter and which objects are located between the transmitter (remote control) and receiver (drone).

Scope of delivery – What is inside?

The scope of delivery is standard, everything you need to take off immediately is included, except the batteries for the remote control. So the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter is RTF (Ready To Fly). The package includes the following parts:

  • 1 x drone with 0.3 MP FPV camera
  • 1 x 2,4 Ghz transmitter
  • 1 x mobile phone holder
  • 4 x additional spare rotor blades
  • 1 x USB charger
  • 1 x user manual

Whatever you need:

  • 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries

Assets and drawbacks

When weighing up the pros and cons, you should always bear in mind that this is a mini drone, which only costs about 70-80 €. Of course there are some disadvantages with such small remote controlled aircraft, but these must always be seen in relation to the price range, model type and manufacturer.

Advantages:

  • 6-axis gyroscope – reliable hovering flight
  • Cool flip and somersault function
  • Withstands numerous crashes – is therefore perfectly suited for beginners
  • Battery is exchangeable – additional flight batteries cost only 2-3€
  • FPV function and smartphone holder
  • Beginner, professional and headless mode

Cons:

  • Relatively short flight time (5-7 minutes) which is average for this model type
  • Low camera resolution (0.3 MP)

Conclusion about the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter

Compared to other mini drones we have already tested, the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter performs quite well. The Parrot Mambo, for example, does not have a good camera or FPV function and is about 40% more expensive. It does have gripping arms, but all other functions are as good as those of the Hasakee drone.

We also took a look at the Parrot Airborne mini drone and tested it extensively. In this test report you will also find a video about this drone. A special feature is the light system, which is installed here. Unfortunately the Hasakee Mini RC Helicopter does not have such a thing. However, the flight behaviour of these models is quite similar to the Hasakee drone and that’s why it is particularly good value for money.

Some people criticize that it is not possible to take very good photos and videos with it. This is true, but you should be aware of the low price that is paid for the Hasakee. For fun purposes the 0.3 MP is very good to use despite its low pixel count. That’s exactly what this drone was designed for – the fun factor, which is definitely there regardless of the age of the drone pilot.

If you would like to buy a larger remote controlled aircraft, we can also recommend this Hubsan drone, which also has a very good price/performance ratio and a much better camera.
