Another fun or mini drone is the HSP Himoto 4.5 channel entry-level quadrocopter. It makes it incredibly fun to fly around the house. It masters many stunts and is damn small.

Despite the small size the copter has a lot of technology under the hood. Further details will be given in this report.

Technical data

High-tech mini drones are becoming increasingly popular, above all because they have more and more additional functions, are extremely affordable and are particularly suitable for beginners.

The HSP Himoto has some special features. It has a home-to-return mode and a headless mode. Normally, such functions are only reserved for the large drones.

Size and design

Admittedly, the design really reminds a bit of a toy drone, but with the size, you won’t notice that anyway. It measures only 13.5 x 13.5 x 2.8 cm and is therefore one of the smallest mini drones on the market.

The model has a pretty solid rotor protection, which ensures that even beginners, who will probably crash the drone several times, will not damage the HSP Himoto.

Rotorschutz

In addition, the material of the rotor blades is quite elastic, should an object get into the rotor barrel, it will simply get stuck or be shot away from the blades.

Also the rest of the case is very solid, we are amazed about the solid structure, here you are really dealing with a mini drone that will survive almost all crashes.

No camera, but cool flight modes

Unfortunately this drone has no camera and therefore no FPV mode. But there are a lot of cool flight modes.

One of them is the headless mode. Here you can control the drone independently from the position of the copter.

Assuming the right stick is pushed forward, the drone normally follows the direction of flight according to its nose, so if the quadrocopter is pointed at you and you fly forward, the model will fly towards you.

In headless mode it’s completely different, here the drone will fly away from you, even though it’s pointed at you with its muzzle and you push the control stick forward.

This function makes it possible that you do not have to rethink.

Another really cool feature is the Home-To-Return mode, where you simply press a button on the remote control and the drone returns to its starting point.

The versatile 3D stunts, including rolls, somersaults and loops, are sure to put you in a good mood. You don’t need any special skills to do this, because the drone does it at the touch of a button, then returns to its original position and holds it automatically.

Battery and flight time

Unfortunately the flight battery of the HSP Himoto has only a maximum charge capacity of 150 mAh, at 3.7 Volt. This is a Li-Po battery.

The flight time is correspondingly short; if you really step on the gas and race through the apartment, you sometimes only get 5 minutes of flight time.

Flight Stabilization

The HSP Himoto mini drone is equipped with the latest 6-axis gyroscope technology and stabilises itself in flight completely automatically. However, it has no GPS and no altitude barometer.

Even after spectacular 3D stunts, which you can trigger at the touch of a button, it will return to its initial flight position by itself, i.e. the automatic hovering state.
