Many drone pilots sometimes want to provide a little variety in their living room. Mini drones are perfect for this.
During our research we came across the Cheerson mini drone CX-10. For a while it was considered the smallest drone in the world, but now it is called the Skeye Pico Quadcopter.
Nevertheless, the CX-10 is so extremely small that it can be flown through the air with extreme agility and agility.
Although mini drones usually do not have GPS because they are so small, this quadrocopter can be steered quite astonishingly well because the system has an integrated gyroscope.
This is exactly why this drone is perfect for beginners, another big advantage is the enormously low price.
Other technical properties
At first glance, the quadrocopter is extremely small. The figures confirm this: the dimensions are only 4 x 4 x 2.2 cm. The system therefore reacts very quickly to control commands and is hardly sluggish. Beginners will nevertheless quickly find their way around thanks to the 6-axis gyroscope. However, we recommend that you only fly indoors or outdoors when there is absolutely no wind.
With the 2.4 Ghz remote control the CX-10 can be flown in all directions.
The maximum flying time with a fully charged battery is about 5 minutes. It also depends on the flying style.
Those who constantly do stunts and acrobatically rush through the living room will have their batteries empty after only 3-4 minutes. If you fly calmly, however, you can get up to 7 minutes flying time.
Charging takes about 6 times as much time, so 30 minutes.
Since we do not have a LED display in the remote control of this system, a flashing of the LEDs warns in case of a voltage drop of the flight battery. You should then land and recharge the drone battery.
To make the transmitter ready for use, you also need 2 AAA batteries, which are not included in the scope of delivery.
This drone can also be flown in the dark or with poor visibility, because it has 4 LED lights in blue and red.
For a mini drone of this size it has a pretty good transmitting power. Altogether you can fly up to 40 meters away.
From 20 meters on you will have problems to see where the front and back of the aircraft is. Therefore 40 meters are more than sufficient. Many models of this price and especially size class have a smaller range.
The integrated stunts are also great. These are pre-programmed and can be performed at the touch of a button, after which the CX-10 will automatically return to hovering flight.

With such a low price, one does not think one can expect very much. Nevertheless everything you need is included in the set, even spare rotors are included:
