In today’s report we present you a rather small quadrocopter, which is perfectly suited for indoor flights.
It has extremely small dimensions and also has an extremely low weight of about 20.5 g without battery. With battery we are at about 27 g. For outdoor flights the drone is therefore unfortunately not recommended at all. But you will have a lot of fun with the URUAV UR65 within your own 4 walls.
What we particularly liked about the model is that despite being so small, the URUAV UR65 has an FPV unit and can transmit images in real time from the drone to a terminal of your choice.
Technical data and facts about the URUAV UR65
As firmware the Betaflight_3.3.0_Crazybee is used and as sensor the MPU-6000 (SPI-Connection).
There is also a Betaflight support and the Multi-Flight mode. Thanks to the powerful brushless motor, you can also elegantly compete with other drones in racing with the quadrocopter! However, such a racing should only take place in absolute calm or in a protected room.
Control commands are accepted by the quadrocopter without delay. For beginners the operation might take some getting used to. But you will get the hang of it after a while and will be able to handle the URUAV UR65 without any problems.
The drone flies very stable in the air, has a strong acceleration and if you release the throttle abruptly, it will slow down the model strongly enough to come to a standstill as fast as possible.
If you fly the URUAV UR65 over the edge of a table and there is a large difference in altitude, the drone may change its altitude slightly for a short time until the altitude sensor has recalibrated.
As a rule, however, the drone flies extremely stable. Due to its small size, however, it can also withstand one or two crashes.
Design
Admittedly, the design takes some getting used to, but some of you will certainly not find anything wrong with it.
In contrast to other camera models, the camera is located above the model and the propellers work in the lower area. They are driven by 4 brushless electric motors.
What has bothered us a bit about the construction of the URUAV UR65 is that the electronics inside the UR65 are not sufficiently protected from external influences like water or dirt. Therefore the use in bad weather conditions and rain is rather not recommended.
The choice of colours is also rather boring. The colour “white” does not really impress, but that is also a question of taste.
In order to protect the propellers from collision, there is a bumper or propeller protection around each rotor.
Camera and FPV – Is the cam really sufficient?
The built-in camera has an adjustable angle, over which you can change the field of view of the drone.
The 700TVL camera is installed with a field of view of about 120 degrees.
It operates at a frequency of 5.8 Ghz over 48 channels. The power supply is about 300 mA.
Battery, flight time and range
The battery has a capacity of 250 mAh and works at a voltage of about 3.8 volts. The dimensions of the flight battery are 60 mm x 18 mm x 7mm and the weight is about 6.5 g. PH2.0 is used as connector. How long you can fly with the quadrocopter is extremely dependent on your flight behaviour and how much the battery is charged.
As far as the range is concerned, we are at about 300 meters maximum. Unfortunately the remote control has no more transmitting power.
Who is the URUAV UR65 mini drone suitable for?
In our opinion, the drone is suitable for beginners and also for advanced users. Racing pilots will perhaps be used to a little more quality, but this is quite sufficient for a start.

Conclusion
All in all, you get a very cheap drone with FPV function for very little money. There is just the disadvantage that you should not necessarily fly with this model in rainy weather or wind, because the drone would not cope with this.
Compared to other models, the URUAV UR65 looks pretty good.
