Technical data
The manufacturer Cheerson will not look very familiar to many of you and we didn’t know him yet. Therefore it was important for us that the drone was processed in a very high quality so that we get a good impression of the brand.
You can easily charge the battery of the drone with the included charger, which takes about 2 hours. Also included is a lipo battery with 2700 mAh.
The model has among other things a GPS hold system, automatic Return To Home function and can be easily steered in all directions.
The remote control is a 2.4 Ghz remote control with 4 channels. Among other things there is a headless mode and the drone is delivered “Ready To Fly”, so after unpacking with a fully charged battery it is 100% ready for use.
Design
The Cheerson CX-20 drone looks like a UFO and thus gives the impression of a toy drone. The landing envelopes remind us a bit of the DJI Phantom Drone.
Also the outer shell convinces with its stable construction, because the chassis is made of crash-proof plastic.
Although there is no camera for this drone and there is no camera in the scope of supply, but there is a removable camera mount, in which you can insert a GoPro camera for example.
Under each arm of the drone, there are several LED’s, so you can make great night flights and don’t lose orientation while flying. You can also use the camera holder to install a LED lamp there. This serves as an additional light source.
The dimensions of the drone are about 30 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm.
Camera
As already mentioned a camera is not included in the set, there is only the possibility to install a cam. For this purpose there is a corresponding mounting bracket.

Battery, flight time and range
The set includes a strong lipo battery with a charging capacity of 2700 mAh. With this you can fly for about 15 minutes, provided the flight battery is fully charged.
In addition, the drone has a high flight range, which is about 300 meters.
Flight stability
With the help of the GPS holding system, the Cheerson CX-20 drone is very stable in the air. There are also other functions, such as the Home To Return function and the headless mode.
In headless mode you can directly control the quadrocopter in all directions without having to think about how the model is aligned.
So if the Cheerson CX-20 is standing sideways to you and you pull the right joystick towards you, it will fly sideways towards you.
