In today’s report we introduce you to the Apexcam, which not only looks good, but also takes particularly high-quality photos and videos.
This is a great 20 MP camera, which has a 170 degree wide angle lens and an integrated WLAN function.
It comes with lots of free accessories, a dual charger and even a wireless remote control.
The high-quality lithium battery and the long battery life are particularly advantageous.
Thanks to the waterproof housing you can also use the camera underwater.
Of course this camera can’t be compared with the latest GoPro, but there’s nothing to complain about with this model.
The operation is super easy, the product comes in a high-quality packaged box and the elegant presentation of the camera has convinced us overall. In our opinion there are no quality defects.
The Apexcam is ideal for holidays, because it comes with a portable travel camera bag, which makes travelling much more comfortable.
Technical data and facts about the camera
The housing, which is also included in the delivery, has the protection class IP68, is waterproof up to 40 meters and is very suitable for diving, swimming or other sports.
The included remote control is also of high quality, it can be used to start a video or take a photo. The control is possible up to a distance of about 20 meters.
Thanks to the included 2.5DC noise-cancelling microphone, outdoor recording quality is greatly improved.
The electronic image stabilisation system is also very advantageous, thanks to which you will not get blurred images in the future, but only shaky shots when you turn the system on.
Design
The design of the Apexcam is quite elegant and reminds a bit of a GoPro camera. In the front area there are 2 rounded edges and the camera.
On the back side there’s a display of about 2.0 inches. You can navigate through the menu, which is quite simple, using the 3-button control located above the camera.
The camera lens is equipped with 6 lenses and has a rather wide angle.
The camera body is transparent and has a clear transparency. Underneath the housing there is a mounting bracket where you can attach many other accessories.
Resolution formats and quality of camera sensor technology
The camera of the Apexcam is, in our opinion, of enormous quality. Thanks to the electronic image stabilisation system, the photos are always as clear as possible. Moreover, the photos have a fairly high resolution of about 20 MP. The videos have Ultra HD quality and professional 4K technology.
For photos, you can set the following resolution values in the menu: 20 MP, 16 MP, 12 MP, 8 MP, 5 MP.
If you want to change the video resolution, the following formats are available in the menu:
- 3840 * 2160 at 30 frames per second (fps)
- 4K: 3200 × 1800 at 30 fps (with EIS)
- 2.7K: 2560 × 1440 at 30 fps (with EIS)
- 1080P: 1920 × 1080 at 60 or 30 fps (with EIS)
- 720P: 1080 x 720 at 120 fps (with EIS)
Only Micro SD cards are used as memory cards. Such a storage medium is unfortunately not included in the scope of delivery. Memory capacities up to 64 GB are supported.
Battery and runtime
The battery of this camera is very good, it is a professional lithium battery with a particularly high capacity of about 1050 mAh. It can run up to 90 minutes at a time!
It comes with 2 batteries and even a dual charger, which means you can even charge the two batteries at the same time! Together, they can last up to 190 minutes of battery life, even when shooting 4K video.

Conclusion
With this camera you get an incredibly versatile model, which even has a dual charger and a wireless remote control.
Thanks to the multifunctional accessories, the camera can be mounted on helmets, bicycles or other objects.
We recommend that you format the SD memory card before using it for the first time.
